Problem Description

Housekeepers finish cleaning a room but have to walk back to the front desk or call to report it's ready. This creates delays in check-in because the front desk doesn't know which rooms are actually clean and available. During busy periods, we have guests waiting in the lobby while clean rooms sit empty because nobody updated the system. Communication breakdowns are frequent.

Current Workaround

Gave housekeepers walkie-talkies to radio the front desk, but during busy times the channel is too noisy and messages get missed.

Front desk gets shouted at, but the issue starts with not knowing what is actually ready. Guests arrive, rooms are technically clean, but nobody has communicated it properly. The waiting and confusion in the lobby is what makes it feel so chaotic.

We see clean rooms sitting empty while guests are waiting, purely because the update is delayed. During peak periods the communication channel gets overwhelmed, and then small missed messages turn into big operational problems.
